Where we are

Camping Spartacus is at 50 meters from Pompeii ruins, at the main entrance Porta Marina, in a quiet area, surrounded by green citrus orchard at only 500 meters from the centre of Pompeii.
His position is ideal for a campsite in Pompeii where to start a visit of the near touristic locations, whether with public transport or with private means, such as Herculaneum, Amalfi Coast, Sorrento, Naples and Vesuvius.
In his proximity, the Circumvesuviana train directly connects Pompeii to Sorrento and from there you can get to Amalfi Coast and to Capri. In the opposite direction the train connects Pompeii to Naples.
Moreover, a bus connects Pompeii to Vesuvius where you can make an excursion on the top of the crater or stop in Herculaneum and visit the archaeological ruins.
It is also possible to book a transfer coach, on demand.

By car

On the motorway A3 Naples-Salerno towards Penisola Sorrentina, get out in Pompeii Ovest. On the left, at 200 meters from the way-out, you’ll find us in Via Plinio 127.

Out of the train station on the left for one kilometre along Via Plinio
Naples –Sorrento Circumvesuviana line starting from Napoli Piazza Garibaldi every twenty minutes.
On the line Naples-Sorrento get off in “Villa dei Misteri”, our camping is at 200 meters on the right.

At the airport Naples Capodichino, take the schuttle to Naples Piazza Garibaldi, the main train station, and take the Circumvesuviana train in direction of Sorrento and stop in “Villa dei Misteri”.

Pompeii's Moons

Starting from August 2009 the latest edition of "Le lune di Pompei" will take place in the magnificent archaeological Park of Pompeii's excavation.

The ancient city will tell never revealed mysteries,wich never left those places,with its "Eterne Lune" in a magical and mysterious atmosphere.

The moonof death,the moon of success,the mythical moon,the moon of life,the moon which is not there,the illegal moon and the moon having fun,will be the guide-themes wich will lead to the archaeological site in the world.

The route will start from the Necropolis of Porta Nocera,it will continue with the visit to the house of Hercules' Garden,then through Via dell'Abbondanza(Street of Abundance),stopping in the Houses of Loreio Tiburtino,Venus in Shell and Giulia Felice and will finish in the wonderful location/panorama of the Amphitheatre with suggestive and fantastic light games.
